Bin Sulayem: We begin 50 New Years of the Union’s Historic Path with Boundless Ambition from Earth to Sky

H.E. Sultan bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, extended his sincere congratulations and blessings to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their brothers, their Highnesses, members of the UAE Supreme Council - the rulers of the Emirates, and to their Highnesses the Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers, and to the people of the Emirates and residents of its good land, on the occasion of the 51st National Day of the United Arab Emirates, assuring that the 2nd of December is the most important historical moment in the course oof the UAE under the wise leadership.
At his opening speech during the official celebrations ceremony of the Ports, Customs, Free Zone Corporation and Dubai Customs on the National Day, which was held at the headquarters of the Corporate Support Center in Port Rashid in Dubai, in the presence of H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, CEO of the Corporation and Director General of Dubai Customs, Executive Directors, Directors of Departments and a group of employees and customers of the PCFC and its Business Units.
H.E. bin Sulayem expressed his gratitude for this warm memory dear to the hearts of the people of the Emirates, recalling the historical moments of the establishment of the state at the hands of the founders, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may Allah bless their souls, and the great achievements of the union that encouraged its loyal sons to continue the efforts to formulate a unique model for all aspects of life.
His Excellency added: "Today we celebrate an occasion dear to all of our hearts, citizens and residents embraced by this good land; we celebrate the 51st National Day, and bid farewell to 50 years of the Union's life with achievements and successes that made us at the top ranks of developed countries and even better, and we start a new 50 years of the Union's march with unlimited ambition that extends from earth to sky”.
He said: "We live the memory of glorious days engraved in our consciences that bear all the meanings of unity, tolerance and giving to present the precious and valuable to our homeland, armed with the values of love, loyalty, belonging and absolute devotion to our wise leadership for the capabilities it provided that contributed to the UAE's attainment of the highest ranks at the international forums, besides the initiatives that carry it to the horizons of a bright future full of innovations in various fields”.
The Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation referred to the achievements made by Dubai specifically at the hands of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may Allah bless his soul, as his interests began with establishing an integrated trade infrastructure represented in building ports and facilities that contribute to the openness of the country to the world through the movement of import and export, in addition to the development of the economy through trade exchange, and from here the story of the Corporation began, as those ports met with a demand that required their management and expansion to ensure the interests of their local and international customers, and it was instructed to establish the Dubai Ports Authority and Dubai Customs as a first step.
His Excellency called on the PCFC’ employees to continue efforts to provide the best services that achieve the aspirations of our leadership and their vision for the UAE to be a distinguished model in various fields, pointing to the Corporation’s ambitious vision of strengthening Dubai's position as a leading sustainable center to support the economic sector at the global level.
