The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation releases its Annual Report for 2021

His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, expressed his pride over the accomplishments achieved by the corporation through its business units during the past year, noting that 2021 was the year of implementing the corporation’s strategic plan aimed at positioning Dubai on the global lead in trade and port operations, logistics and customs services at the regional and global levels. In his opening speech for the Annual Report issued by the corporation regarding the achievements of 2021, which showcases in its sections a series of achievements and a package of agreements and initiatives that have been achieved. Based on its principles that support the pursuit of excellence, the chairman of the corporation clarified that the achievements addressed in the report are a living evidence of the efforts of all business units and their employees towards the commitment to implement the strategic plan of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, which seeks to maintain the status of the Corporation and upgrade its organizational units, within the framework of its vision towards strengthening Dubai's position as a leading sustainable hub to support the economic sector at the global level. Bin Sulayem said: "With great pride, I present to you the Annual Report of the Corporation for 2021, which represents a strong evidence of the tireless efforts made by the corporation's work team, which resulted in the achievement of tangible progress in various sectors, starting with pioneering customs services, passing through commercial and engineering licensing transactions. In addition to the operations of the maritime sector in its various specializations, and the achievements of the security and investment departments in cooperation with various strategic partners, whose number reached 24 bodies and partners, as well as many positive results in performance indicators related to the corporation’ specializations, especially within the Corporate Support Center, which resulted in increasing the percentage of satisfaction and happiness of the partners up to 100%” Bin Sulayem stated that the base of the corporation's customers and its business units increased during the past year to reach 96,300 customers, and the percentage of customers' happiness reached 85% in regard to the 509 services provided by the Corporation by the end of 2021. Bin Sulayem continued: "Among the other achievements that the Corporation has contributed to is Dubai ranking as the 1st in the Arab world and the 5th internationally among the 20 most powerful international centers for commercial shipping during 2021, and obtaining both the Dubai Maritime City Authority and the Department of Planning and Development - Trakhess for the “100% Paperless” Stamp. The corpoartion has also succeeded in passing the necessary audits and being eligible to obtain international accreditation for 7 ISO certificates in the quality management system.
