Dubai Maritime Authority signs a MOU with Al Yousuf Motors on the Registration of Marine Crafts

The Dubai Maritime Authority of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Al Yousuf Motors to facilitate the procedures for providing marine crafts’ registration services to customers, at the Authority's stand at the Dubai International Boat Show 2023. The MOU was signed by Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, on behalf of Dubai Maritime Authority, and on behalf of Al Yousuf Motors, H.E Yousuf Ahmed Al Yousuf, Chief Operating Officer of Al Yousuf Group. The agreement stipulated cooperation between the two parties in providing registration services of marine crafts and related services, where the customer can purchase the marine craft from Al Yousuf Group and register it directly through them through their various outlets, through the DMA’s electronic system and within a legal framework governed by the concluded agreement. Sheikh Saeed explained that the Dubai Maritime Authority is keen to strengthen strategic partnership relations with the private sector in a way that contributes to achieving government directives and facilitates procedures for customers, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in regrad to providing the best experiences for every customer within Dubai Government. The Executive Director of the Authority indicated that the registration and licensing of marine crafts takes place after verifying that it meets the approved technical specifications in order to ensure its compliance with the application of standards, requirements and regulations to ensure the safety of marine craft users, in addition to verifying the application of environmental requirements to preserve the safety of natural resources. Sheikh Saeed stressed the Authority's keenness to work closely with partners to achieve the Authority's directives regarding regulating the licensing of marine crafts operating in Dubai by strengthening means of cooperation between all concerned parties and by supporting all required capabilities and mechanisms. For his part, Yousuf Ahmed Al Yousuf, expressed his gratitude for signing the agreement at the Dubai Maritime City Authority stand during the activities of the Dubai International Boat Show 2023, expressing the readiness of the Al Yousuf Group to cooperate in providing marine craft registration services. He added: “With signing this MOU, Al Yousuf Group is taking new steps towards achieving its strategy in fruitful cooperation with the concerned government agencies to provide quality services that fall under our competence”.
